Lauren Simmons Was The Only Young African-American Female Full-Time Trader On The New York Stock Exchange Floor! At 22 years old, Lauren Simmons shattered the glass ceiling by being the youngest and only full-time female equity trader on Wall Street for Rosenblatt Securities. Affectionately dubbed as the “Lone Woman On Wall Street”, Simmons also became the second African American woman in the Exchange's 228-year history to have such a position. Simmons left Wall Street in December 2018.
She was named to Ebony's Power 100 list in 2018, and was also awarded 2018 Women of Impact by Politico She is the co-executive producer on a forthcoming biographical film about her life alongside AGC Studios. It's titled Midas Touch, it’s set to star Grammy Award nominee Chloe Bailey.
Simmons is an author, producer, podcast and TV host, angel investor and board member of several financial companies.
Currently Simmons is the host and producer of the web series Going Public.
